The Challenge: Our client’s long-standing consumer study label was driving sales, but it had become outdated and unusable. Once removed, sales dropped sharply. The key question: which new design could sustain sales while elevating brand image

The Hypothesis: The old blue label likely stood out on shelf but hurt quality perception. Could a blue label boost purchase intent, while a gold label lift perception of quality?

Our Approach: We created realistic shelf mockups and A/B tested blue vs. gold designs. Consumers indicated which label they would buy and which conveyed quality. Iterative testing highlighted the features that drove intent versus those that built brand image.

The Result: Blue label had no advantage in purchase intent while Gold label had strong uplift in perceived quality

The Impact: The client confidently launched a gold label that sustained sales and reinforced the brand’s premium positioning.
